Sadly, though. I haven't had the chance to actually watch any games, save for the last two minutes of Friday's late games. I had to work Thurs-Sat and then after work on Sat I went out with Lt. Cmdr. Gardner...which is a story I'll tell today, methinks. Then yesterday, the TiVo died so we went to The Q to do some shopping.
It's all quite tragic really.
Yup, the TiVo's dead. Longtime readers will remember that this is our second TiVo, our first having died in the exact same manner as this one two years ago. One day, it just didn't wake up. Poor thing's been trying to wake up for over 24 hours now. It's just not going to happen. Does anyone know how to extract program info from a dead TiVo? Because there's a bunch of stuff on there we wanted to watch.
I might just give the thing to Gunder to play with...if he's interested.
We've decided to not get a third Series 2 Tivo right away. Instead, we're going to get a DVR box from Comcast. I'd been thinking about getting a box anyway so I could get Wrestlemania in a few weeks, but I don't know who I'd have over to watch it. Mania's just not as much fun when you're alone. Maybe I can get Barca (the former co-worker formerly known as Lt. Barcelona) to come over....hrmmm. But who else?
Times like these when I miss the hell out of a bunch of you guys.

What do you do to the Tivo? Is is because your viewing tastes don't follow conventional trends, so the device gives up from the stress of predicting what it thinks you want to record?
My brackets are done for, except for the West Region. That one is going all the way to April! Rock Chalk!
Heh, I was thinking, I'd like to play with that dead Tivo. Then all of a sudden I read it. I'm down for messing with it, Yo!
I have to warn you though, I think I finally killed my laptop when I took that heat gun to it. At least Charlie has a laptop now that he can play with.
Anybody have any ideas on what to do with a laptop that has no graphics card? Besides letting my son beat it to death! I guessed it would be more like cremating it.

GMS- Yeah, dunno what we did, but it's apparent that it's actually us, not the TiVo(s). I'm gonna spend some quality time on the phone with a TiVo tech support guy trying to figure out what we're doing to these boxes. Cuz one died in Kansas and the other in New Mexico...so whatever it is, it's gonna be special
Maybe TiVos are allergic to IKEA home theater dealies.
Gunder- Dude, you killed that laptop? Sad. I'm not holding out hope for you repairing the TiVo, I just thought you'd have fun messing with it and trying to come up with something to do with it.
And yeah, it's been a while since I watched wrasslin' as well. But, yknow, Wrestlemania...
