Football Redo
Football.
How is it that I manage to be too busy to blog about the football season every freakin' year?
More importantly, how have I managed to not talk about this particular Bears and Stormin' Shepherds season more than I have?
OK, before I go on one note. Has anyone seen a decent version of the Bears Fight Song out there in mp3 format? I've found a bad RealAudio version and an absolutely terrible lo-fi WMA version. So please, help a guy out here...decent version in mp3? Something I can put on Artoo and listen to at lunch on Sundays.
That said. I believe in Da Bears this year. Really, I do. Yes, Grossman has cost them both of those games. Yes, he should have cost them a few more but I'm going to say this for the umpteenth time out loud and the second or third time here. He's a freakin' rookie. Yes, he makes bad decisions. But show me a rookie quarterback that doesn't. And Brady and Roethesburger don't count. At all. They're the exceptions that prove the rule. For every Tom or Big Ben you have a dozen Drew Breeses muddling their way through their first few seasons until they learn, "oh, hey, don't throw that pass jackass."
Seriously, lay off the kid. It'll be all right. Good teams find a way to win and considering that Da Bears have won this many games in spite of their quarterback...I'm hopeful. OK?

Fantasy Football. Holy shit, what a season. The Stormin' Shepherds came out of the gate at 1-2 and week four I felt, justifiably that I had to turn it around right then and there. Since then I've gone 10-0 and have just about put away the F.A.L.A.F.E.L. for the year. But seriously, if there's anyone else in the league reading this...if you could do me a favor and put the 85ers one of these weeks I'd appreciate it. I'm kinda uncomfortable sitting on a one game lead and the tiebreaker right now. I mean, it's not like I have any Colts on my squad, but still...I'm afraid.
