Bizarre Love Triangle
Amongst the many things I've had bouncing around my head is the bizarre love triangle that's cropped up on For Better or For Worse.
I know, I know, I'm a freaky-assed loser. But ever since the days of Degrassi Junior High, I've been a sucker for Canadian melodrama.
OK, so in case you haven't been following (ie- you're not Alphasarah) Liz (the middle daughter) has moved home, leaving a boyfriend (Paul) back north. But, back in the city, her ex-bf (Anthony) is now a divorced single father with unresolved issues for Liz. OK, let's face it they have unresolved issues with each other...which is one of the reasons Anthony's skank-ho ex walked out on him and the kid. A minor one, to be sure, cuz she was just a selfish bitch from the moment she appeared on the scene, but if Anthony and Liz end up together, you have to admit, chick might have been Katherine Harris crazy, but she was right.
Right, anyway I'm not sure how this is all going to go down. There's been a really slow burn on this storyline and with word filtering down from Alphasarah that the strip is actually drawing to a close...damn, like, how's this gonna end?
I mean, on one hand you'd like for Liz to end up with Mr. (Paul) Wright, the Dudley Do-Right wannabe up north. But, then again I'd kinda like to see her close to home at the end with Anthony cuz we've been waiting for that payoff for a really long time. But, how cheesy would it be to end with that payoff, yknow? Plus, I don't like the idea of Liz becoming a stepmother to this kid. Just, doesn't feel right. And why shouldn't Paul end up with the woman who replaced Liz up north? Like, they were childhood friends, kinda like Liz and Anthony without all the craziness. So, like, that'd be a good ending. Or, maybe she ends up with the helicopter pilot who just sorta randomly shows up...then again, maybe not. Cuz, like if he's such a flaky dude that he only shows up now and again when he has time...I don't think I want Liz with that guy.
Is it messed up that I care this much about a comic strip?

Ok, waitasecond...what do you MEAN For Better or For Worse is "drawing to a close"? Says who? She can't just DO that!! It's been my favorite strip for, like, ever!
