Weekend Recap
The weekend is over, and damn is it sad. Seriously, I need like 4 day weekends so that I can savor them the way they should be savored.
Nena was in town for 20 or so hours this weekend and that was nice. This whole travel season thing is seriously sucking. I mean, she's NEVER freakin' home. At her last job, she traveled but she'd be home on weekends and for the vast majority of the season. But now, she gets to come home for 20 hours and then she's back out again. It's sad, yo.
In other news, THE FREAKING BEARS BEAT GREEN BAY!!!! IN GREEN BAY!!!!
I can't believe it. I called CK to tell him and we were just amazed at the sight. For as long as we've been friends Favre has OWNED Da Bears especially up in the bay, but today was different. Sure, it wasn't like the Bears destroyed the Pack, but it's not like they gave the game away, either.
Yeah, the Bears' O played well enough to not blow the game and the D took it from there. I'm not ashamed to admit that we won the game with defense, cuz a win's a fucking win, yo. And this one was against GREEN BAY IN GREEN BAY.
OK, let's extend the logic out a bit. . .
The Panthers beat KC today
The Packers beat the Panthers last week
The Bears beat the Packers
QED
The Bears are better than KC
I like this.
Granted, by this logic the Lions should then be the favorites to win the AFC, which is problematic because A) they're the Lions and 2) they're in the NFC. But bear with me here. Chicago beats KC, this makes me happy. Maybe I should call Cheryl and gloat some more.

technically, the QED goes at the END of the proof. see http://mathworld.wolfram.com/QED.html so you should sum up, then say you're done. yeah. i'm a math major... *looks away*
Thanks Dana, it's been so long, I'd forgotten.
What I really wanted to do was make the triangle with the three dots. . .but that would have meant making a jpg and I didn't really feel like it.
Still though, the logic proof does hold, even if taking it one step beyond is a bit frightening. But I figure if Trent Dilfer and Brad Johnson can become Super Bowl champions, why not Joey Harrington?
And the Cubbies won so they're only 1/2 game back in the wild card.....
Chicago is a happy place right now.
Whatever, 1/2 game back. They could have wrapped this thing up if they hadn't sucked so hard earlier.
Grrrr.
bears won, and that was fantastic. mike brown is finally playing like he did in 2001, so that's good too. and he's out for the whole rest of the season, and that sucks. there's always a down note when you're a bears fan.
which sucks more
being a bears fan
or a cubs fan?
Being a Bulls fan
good point
